Ingredients
Ingredients:
The main active ingredients of Angel Ritual are JoJoba Oil( buxis chinensis), Shea Butter (butyrospermum parki), Sea Kelp (fucus vesiculosis), Vitimin E Anti Oxidant ( tocopherol), and palm oil (glyceryl stearate SE). It also contains dimethicone.
One of the most widely used ingredients in cosmetics, dimethicone works as an anti-foaming agent, skin protectant and conditioner, it prevents water loss by forming a hydrating barrier on the skin. This ingredient has a unique fluidity that makes it easily spreadable. When applied to the skin, it is known for creating a subtle gloss that feels smooth and silky to touch. It also acts as a mild water repellent by forming a protective barrier on the skin, and can fill in fine lines/wrinkles on the face, giving the skin a healthy “plump” look.
The cosmetic industry values demethicone for its powerful ability to keep the skin adequately lubricated, even during the hot and driest summer, and harshest cold winter weather.
Jojoba oil:
Jojoba oil works as a natural skin emollient, lubricant and cleanser. For centuries the native Americans have been using this amazing oil to treat ailments of the skin such as wounds, sores, and burns. A 2005 article in Parmacological Research shows jojoba oil as having anti-inflammatory and skin soothing properties. Research conducted at the University of Michigan proves that this ingredient quickly penetrates the skin, so quickly, in fact, that the pores are able to stay open and continue functioning properly. The skin’s rapid absorption of jojoba oil ensures it doesn’t clog the pores to cause blackheads or pimples to form. In turn, by keeping the pores wide open with full absorption capabilities, it’s also believed to enhance the delivery of other cosmetic ingredients.
Shea butter:
Because it’s structure and function resembles that of the lipid content of skin, Shea butter is classified as a natural moisturising factor (NMF), it is a skin conditioning agent and viscosity (thickness) increasing ingredient. It’s functions as a dermal conditioner are two fold. Firstly it helps retain moisture and lessen the loss of water by forming a barrier on the skin’s surface. Secondly, it also works to reduce the appearance of dry patches and flaking on the skin and can also reduce puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.
Sea Kelp:
The sea kelp extract in Sea kelp, or seaweed, is a large brown algae found in ocean kelp forests. Kelp is used in many cultures both as medicine and food. Sea kelp has more than 21 amino acids and 60 minerals and elements, including calcium, iron, iodine, and zinc. Sea kelp is also rich in Vitamins B12, C, E and K. In addition, sea kelp contains alkali, which helps to balance the body’s pH. Sea kelp has a therapeutic effect on the skin and body, greatly enhancing the condition of skin. Sea kelp’s health benefits strengthen the immune system and encourage resistance toward infection. Sea kelp can assist with the healing of skin cells and skin structure.
Glyceryl Stearate:
Glyceryl Stearate is derived from palm kernel oil and is also found naturally in the human body. It acts as a lubricant on the skin’s surface, which gives the skin a soft and smooth appearance. It easily penetrates the skin and slows the loss of water from the skin by forming a barrier on the skin’s surface. It has been shown to protect skin from free-radical damage as well.
Tocopheryl:
Tocopheryl is a naturally occurring antioxidant that is a form of Vitamin E, a natural skin-conditioning agent and moisturiser. It is also believed to give protection against the sun’s ultraviolet rays. It also protects against damage from free radicals.
